Wierd Carving Today, but AWESOME FOOD

I had the weirdest craving today I wanted crab cakes and apple pie. After pulling out my grandmothers handy recipes coming from the store getting some ingredients I needed I came home and started cooking. ALL I CAN SAY IS OMGosh. This is a must try. I also threw in some remoulade sauce.





Crab cake
1 lb of Lump crab meat
1 c of Italian bread crumbs 
1 lg or 2sm beaten eggs
1/4 c of mayonnaise (Dukes)
1tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp of dry mustard 
salt, pepper, old bay to taste
Butter 
Oil

In mixing bowl combine all ingredients except crab meat. Add crab meat and gently fold in mixing thoroughly. Shape into cakes. Heat oil and butter to fry. Cook approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. 

Remoulade Sauce
1/4 c of mayo
1 tablespoon creole mustard
1 table spoon of lemon
praprika 
old bay to taste

combine all ingredients together and refrigerate for 2 hours. 



Apple Pie 
6 Granny Smith Apples
1 9inch pie shell
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
3/4 c of white sugar
2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of vanilla nut extract

Topping to pie 
1/2 c of all purpose 
1/2 c of packed brown sugar
4 tablespoon of butter

Thinly slice and peal apples. Add lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Make sure all apples are covered. in a separate bowl add ingredients for toppings mixing until it is crumbly. Spread the pie crust in the pan and spread apples over the crust. Put topping on the pie. cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake in preheated 375 degree oven or 25 minutes. remove aluminum foil and cook for another 30 minutes allow to cool and enjoy!
